A Moving Story of a Visually-Impaired Pup’s Search for a Forever Family and the Indestructible Connection with his Canine Companion

Zac, who lost his sight at the age of ten, found a new companion in his fellow Jack Russell terrier named Lilli. With no eyesight for the past five years, he relies on Lilli to guide him everywhere he goes. During walks, Zac stays very close to Lilli’s side, and when he becomes tired or confused, she allows him to rest his head on her. This heartwarming story shows that a dog’s best friend can be another dog.

Zac and his loyal guide dog Lilli are on the lookout for a new home. The two have been companions since they were taken in as strays ten years ago. After Zac lost his sight due to an eye infection, Lilli became his constant companion and guide. Unfortunately, their owner had to move overseas, leaving them in need of a new home. The Blue Cross charity in Tiverton, Devon is helping to find a new home for the inseparable pair. According to Sarah Bussell, Zac would be lost without Lilli, so they must be re-homed together. It’s amazing to see the almost telepathic understanding between the two dogs, making them a truly remarkable duo.

Zac and Lilli are the cutest duo you’ll ever see! Zac lost his eyes due to an infection and now relies on his trusted friend Lilli to be his guide. He sniffs and follows Lilli closely so that she can lead him when they’re out and about. Lilli is patient and gives reassurance to Zac, physically guiding him by nudging him in the right direction when he loses his way. She is cautious around him, knowing that he’s different from other dogs, and stays by his side all the time. They’re inseparable and stay together in the re-homing part of the shelter when off the leash. Interestingly, this isn’t Zac’s first time at the shelter as he was taken in as a puppy a few years ago but had to be returned when his owner emigrated and couldn’t take him along.

Zac is a loving guy who enjoys being noticed.
