Jennifer Aniston, an Emmy award-winning actress, collaborated with comedian Benito Skinner to give two fans surprise makeovers at her hairstylist Chris McMillan’s salon in Beverly Hills. The prank video, divided into two parts, was aired during Derek Blasberg’s BeautyFest. Skinner transformed into his sassy alter ego Jenni the Hairdresser, blindfolding the two fans – known only as a Cancer and a Taurus – as they sat in chairs at the salon.
Dynamic duo: Award-winning actress Jennifer Aniston collaborated with funnyman Benito Skinner for a playful prank on two lucky fans, treating them to fresh hairdos at the renowned salon of her trusted hairstylist, Chris McMillan, in Beverly Hills over the weekend.
During Derek Blasberg’s BeautyFest, a video prank featuring Jennifer Aniston was split into two segments and broadcasted. When Jennifer revealed her true identity to two unsuspecting fans who were expecting an impression of her, they immediately burst into tears. Jennifer reassured them with her talent in hairstyling and humorously asked if they expected this surprise on a Sunday. She didn’t miss the opportunity to promote her LolaVie haircare products, including detangler, leave-in conditioner, and oil for shine and pizzazz.
During the performance, the 28-year-old from Idaho transformed into his sassy character Jenni the Hairdresser, complete with a blindfolded Cancer and Taurus sitting in shower chairs, ready for some beauty magic.
‘Wow! I’m thrilled because I can do hair perfectly!’ Jenni eagerly volunteered to showcase her Jennifer Aniston impersonation to the women, who were taken aback when they realized they were actually in the presence of the genuine 53-year-old actress. Their response? Tears of joy.
‘I’m so sorry!’ Aniston quickly transitioned to promoting her LolaVie haircare products, including the detangler, leave-in conditioner, and shine-enhancing oil. ‘This detangler was the first product we developed, and we put a lot of effort into perfecting it,’ the actress proudly shared. Demonstrating how to use the product, she sprayed a couple of times and effortlessly ran a comb through her hair.
After some convincing from Jennifer, ‘the Taurus’ decided to go for ‘long, curtain bangs,’ while ‘the Cancer’ hesitantly agreed to switch her long bleached locks for an edgy asymmetric bob. ‘I was completely starstruck. I can’t believe I got to meet her,’ the Taurus revealed to the camera.
The actress, originally from the Valley but raised in Manhattan, looked excited as she shared, “Our first and most meticulously developed product is this detangler. I spent a lot of time perfecting it. Depending on the thickness of your hair, I recommend just two sprays. Look how effortlessly it combs through your hair!”
Jennifer easily convinced ‘the Taurus’ (L) to switch up her hairstyle with some ‘long, curtain bangs’, while ‘the Cancer’ (R) hesitantly agreed to trade in her bleached long hair for a trendy asymmetric bob.
The Taurus (L) excitedly shared with the camera: ‘I was completely overwhelmed. I’ve never felt so starstruck! It was truly a fantastic day, and I can’t wait to gush about it to all my friends!’
‘It was definitely a day to remember, and I’m so excited to share the experience with everyone I know!’
During the makeover session, Aniston couldn’t help but cringe when Jenni brought up the infamous ‘Rachel’ hairstyle from 1994, named after her character Rachel Green on Friends.
With a hint of sarcasm, the former telemarketer replied, ‘You mean the hair nightmare, Rachel?’
‘Chris came in, I was basically a baby at 20 minutes old [technically 25 years old] and he just motioned for me to sit in the chair. Before I knew it, he muttered, “This is a disaster” and simply chopped it all off. I had no input in the matter, and that’s how the iconic hairstyle came to be.’
Aniston visibly winced when Jenni brought up the infamous ‘Rachel’ hairstyle from 1994 inspired by her character Rachel Green from the TV show Friends.
The ex-telemarketer chuckled as he recounted the story: ‘Chris saw me walk in, fresh-faced at 20 minutes old [meaning 25 years old], and just pointed to a chair, like, “Come on, take a seat.”‘
Jennifer then went on to explain how she ended up with a drastic haircut, recalling how Chris decided to take matters into his own hands and chop off all her hair without consulting her. Despite having a massive following on Instagram and Facebook, she shared some candid behind-the-scenes moments with Benny Drama, describing how they both became emotional when they first met. Skinner, her friend, sweetly commented that she will always be his sexy mama. Known for creating memes about celebrities like the Kardashian-Jenner clan and Gossip Girl, he once even photoshopped himself into the Friends cast. Aniston, on the other hand, found herself in a bit of hot water after making controversial comments during an Actors on Actors episode, criticizing people who become famous for not doing much.
Jennifer, with a massive following of 57.6 million on Instagram and Facebook, recently posted some exclusive photos with Benito, also known as Benny Drama, saying: “Fan moment! It’s true – we actually teared up when we met. Jen + Jenny = pure happiness!”
Skinner playfully responded in the comments with: ‘Always my attractive momma!’
Known as “the one with the gay friend,” this Georgetown University graduate often creates memes related to the Kardashian-Jenner clan or Gossip Girl. However, in 2020, he shared a meme where he photoshopped himself into the Friends cast.
Reflecting on the entertainment industry, the daughter of two actors expressed gratitude for experiencing a glimpse of it before it transformed into what it is today with the rise of numerous streaming services and heightened competition. She pointed out how social media platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram have added a new dimension to fame, which she feels has somewhat diluted the traditional job of an actor.
Fortunately, Benito also wears the hat of an actor, portraying the role of the self-aggrandizing influencer Jack Cole Jordan in Peacock’s recent critically-acclaimed eight-episode reimagining of Queer as Folk.
Similar to the situations of Paris Hilton and Monica Lewinsky, Jennifer Aniston found herself in need of some damage control following her comments about “people getting famous for doing nothing” during her conversation with Sebastian Stan on Variety’s 30-minute Actors on Actors episode that aired on June 9th.
The daughter of two actors expressed her disbelief, saying, “You’re gaining fame from TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. It’s almost as if it’s taking away from our job as actors.” Skinner has a mysterious role in Nicholas Stoller’s upcoming gay rom-com Bros alongside Billy Eichner, set to premiere in US theaters on September 30 and in UK theaters on October 28. Jennifer, on the other hand, is set to executive produce and reprise her role as UBA co-host Alex Levy in the second season of The Morning Show, which was renewed by Apple TV+ on January 11. The show, based on Brian Stelter’s book Top of the Morning, also stars Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Julianna Margulies, Mark Duplass, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Released on June 9! Fortunately, Benito is no stranger to acting, as he recently portrayed the character Jack Cole Jordan, a self-centered influencer, in the highly-praised eight-episode adaptation of Queer as Folk on Peacock.
I believe it’s about time for Alex to finally discover some romance. Meanwhile, Jennifer is set to both produce and star as UBA co-host Alex Levy in the upcoming second season of The Morning Show, which was officially renewed by Apple TV+ on January 11th.
